Scott could most recently be seen as Guildenstern in NY Classical Theater’s production of Hamlet. This Winter Scott starred opposite Kevin Spirtas in a two-man show called Loaded at the Lion Theater on Theatre Row. Earlier this Spring he starred as Carlos in Heart of the City by Eric Lane at Urban Stages in Midtown and Rodney Martin in the Metropolitan Playhouse’s critically-acclaimed It Pays to Advertise in the East Village, which was voted one of the top ten revivals by Nytheatre.com.

Though a newly minted New York resident, Scott began his career on stages in Washington DC. He won early notice as the drug addled SKINHEADboy in Naomi Izuka’s Polaroid Stories on the Studio Theatre Secondstage and was named one of the District’s ten young artist to watch by the Washington Post’s lead critic Peter Marks.

Having received graduate fellowships from Amherst College for the study of Stage Combat in 2004 & 2005, Scott and his wife Saskia de Vries spent eleven months traveling the world with the help of a ten thousand dollar Amherst fellowship for the study of World Theatre. Working loosely with the international organization Theater Without Borders and in contact with artists in China, India and Australia, Scott saw and participated in performance in over twelve countries across Asia and the South Pacific.

Aside from his work on stage and camera, Scott has been a teacher for over six years and is currently teaching with The American Globe Theatre and Stages of Learning. He has worked with students from four to forty and considers education one of the most important and rewarding aspects of his career.

Scott currently resides in Park Slope, Brooklyn with his lovely wife Saskia de Vries.
